Evaluation and Promotion

Remodelled Assessment Structure Effective From Academic Year 2017-18 As Per Cbse Notification

Grades Play Group To PPII - There will be continuous assessment pattern.

Grades I and II will have No Books, No Exam policy, only Informal Tests as a Pilot Project.

There will be continuous assessment and two Wednesday cycle tests for each term. At the end of each term, there will be a Pen-

Paper Test (20 marks) with the rest of the school.

GRADES III TO VIII - Two Wednesday cycle tests in each Term

(average of two tests to be taken for final marks), One Term Exam at the end of each term along with:

*Subject Enrichment Activity

*Languages 1 and 2 - Speaking and Listening Skills

 *Science and Maths - Practical Lab Work

 *Social Science - Map work and Project work

*Notebook Submission- Notebooks will be assessed regularlyfrom the beginning and averages taken at the end of each term.

 CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES: (No up scaling of grades will bedone).

 To promote the Holistic development of the student, the following activities will be graded on a 5-point grading scale (A to E)

 1. Work Education 2. Art Education 3. Health and Physical Education 4. Dance and Music 5. Chess and Taekwondo 6. Gymnastic and        Skating 7. Attendance 8. Behavior 9. Values.

 GRADES IX AND X:

 BOARD EXAMINATION - 80 Marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus. Student must secure 33% Marks out of 80 marks in each     subject. Marks and Grades both will awarded for individual subjects. (9-point grading)

 INTERNAL ASSESSMENT - (Student must secure 33% marks)

 out of 20 marks earmarked in each subject)

  • PERIODIC TESTS - 10 marks(Three in each subject)
  • NOTEBOOK SUBMISSION - 5 marks
  • SUBJECT ENRICHMENT - 5 marks

Subject Enrichment and co-scholastic Activities are same as upto Grade VIII

GRADES XI AND XII - Two Wednesday Test Cycle in each term. One Term Exam at the end of First Term and Final Board Exam at the end of Second Term.
