From The Desk Of The Principal

Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Do not bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.

– William Faulkner

Stepping into the 9th academic year, Sadhu Vaswani International School is poised on the brink of celebrating a decade of its existence.

From the now small Admin building, to the main academic block, to the construction of the Nuri Block and to yet another building adjoining the Nuri Block, the small fledgling has grown into an oak.

But like Frost once said, “There are miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep….”, I too feel that the school needs to still go miles ahead and never stop for a breather.

As the calendar rolls out a fresh new academic year; we as parents and teachers must take stock of what we have accomplished and what remains unfulfilled in our lives. Let us do a little self-introspection about what we are doing and what we need to do. Let us reflect on our duties and responsibilities, as reflection will provide us with clarity about our decisions.

As young students, new and veteran teachers, young parents; let us do what we have to for our children; so that it has an impact on the society as a whole. For this we need to care about good work. Good work has three components- Excellence, Ethics and Engagement.

So lets hold hands, dear parents and teachers to inspire our students to reach new heights.

To the parents, I would urge you to make it a practice to encourage reading during family time. Parents will then be able to spend quality time with their wards and also take time to read the school almanac regularly for rules of discipline and administration. Please go through the almanac for all the important dates and also ensure that the child carries books only according to the time-table; to lessen the burden on young shoulders.

Let us walk together and aim at inculcating values with education as in the words of Sadhu T L Vaswani, “Education sans Values is baseless”.
