Ms. Pooja Ramchandani-Principal - SVIS

An Educationist by Profession for over two decades; her entire career has been devoted to teaching English to

students. She has done her Masters in English and her B.Ed from Pune University. She has taught in a number of

prestigious Institutions; Nirmala Convent; Nashik, Kendriya Vidyalaya; Air Force Academy, Dundigal. She has

worked overseas for twelve years in Indian Language School, Lagos, Nigeria and was the Vice Principal there for

over seven years. Having spent fifteen years in the West Indies and Africa, she re-located to Hyderabad in 2007.

She then did a stint at Delhi Public School, Hyderabad too before taking over the reins of Sadhu Vaswani

International School as Founder Principal.

Ms. Karishma Devnani- Administrator - Day Care Centre

Karishma is a person with a vast knowledge in the educational field. She has very successfully run her own

kindergarten school for ten years and is a graduate with pre- primary teachers training qualification. A keen

administrator, Karishma is also an art and craft lover. She takes keen interest in painting and singing too. She

has been an active member of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Hyderabad since childhood and has now joined as

an administrator for St. Mira’s Day Care center (Creche).

Dr. M.S. Jyothi- Senior Academic Coordinator

She, has done her Masters and Doctorate in Chemistry from Osmania University and has taught in various

constituent colleges of Osmania University for about 27 years at undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels.

She has retired as Head of the Department of Chemistry, at O.U. P.G. College, Secunderabad. She has been a

follower of Dada J.P. Vaswani and is in SVIS for the love of children and the Mission. She is also the Head of the

Science department at SVIS. With her vast and varied experience in the field of education; she is providing

guidance for the development of the school. Being a self - disciplined person, she is committed and dedicated in

her work and strives to inculcate the same in the students.

Ms. Aparna Devarkonda, Pre-Primary Coordinator

She has recently joined as a Pre-Primary Coordinator. She has done her M.A. Eng from S.V.University. She is

Montessori- trained, done her Vidwan in Hindi and also Diploma in Information Technology from Manipal

University. She has a work experience of 8 years as an English teacher. She has worked at Cambridge High

School, Bangalore and at Triveni Talent School, Secunderabad and has handled English for 9th and 10th

graders. With her calm and collected manner, she has steadily but surely carved a niche for herself at SVIS.

Ms. Krishna Veni

Well versed in communication skills, Krishna Veni was teaching in the Lotus National School. She is a post

graduate in Science, with a BEd. Degree and her subject is Science.

Mr. Chandrasekhar

An Ex-Air force man, Mr Chandrashekar was in the services for 20 years. He is discipline personified. He has

joined us as an Admin Officer. He has done his masters in Commerce and is well versed in Accounts too. He

looks after all the Administration work in the school.

Ms. Evon Shane Courtney - Teacher

A graduate in English Literature, Bombay University, Evon is into her 9th year of teaching in primary schools. She

has done her stint in schools such as St. Ann’s, Ras Bihari International School and Lady Khatun Mariam School,

Mumbai and Chinmay Vidyalaya, Begumpet. She believes that learning is a life long process and she wants to

engrain herself in Knowledge. She loves spending time with children.

Ms. Sudeshna Mairal

Not only has Sudeshna done her Masters in Geography, but she is also a Gold Medalist from Benaras Hindu

University. She has worked as a GIS Engineer and a Photogrammerist in a reputed organization. A passion for

teaching and children made her change her profession and brought her into the field of teaching.She is creative,

innovative, full of new ideas and students bond with her very easily.

Mr. Subba Rao

Our Accounts Manager has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Karnataka University and is proficient in

accounting packages of Tally. He has worked with Jubilee Hills Public School at Hyderabad.

Ms. Kavita Ramchandani

Kavita is a person, loving, kind and patient with children. She has done her P.P. T.C. in 2002 and is doing her

computers. She takes a keen interest in Art and Craft, painting and singing. She has joined St. Mira’s Day Care

Centre, of our school.

Mr. Nath

Mr. Nath is an ex-service man and very diligent in his work. He has taken up the mantle of a very challenging

department- Transport. He knows all the bus routes and firms up the transport requirements of all students by co-

ordinating with the parents.

Ms. G. Subhashini

She is our Art and Craft teacher. She has an aura of patience around her. She is very artistic and makes wonderful

articles out of waste; that could amaze anyone. She has taken charge of the art department and handles art and

craft for all the classes from Nursery to Grade VII.

Ms. B. Tara

B. Tara has 15 years of experience in teaching the Pre Primary classes. She has done her Pre Primary Teacher’s

Training Course and has also completed her Post graduation Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). She

is an assistant teacher in the Pre Primary section.

Ms. M. Shoba

She is a graduate from Osmania University and has completed her Pre Primary Teacher’s Training Course. She

has been teaching since the past 12 years and likes working in a stimulating environment that brings out positive

energies in her. She has excellent teaching skills.

Ms. Sheela Petwal

Sheela Petwal has done her masters in Hindi from Osmania University and has been teaching middle school in

Chirec and has put in 4 years of service in a Convent school in Delhi. She was HOD for Hindi in Kennedy High

School. At present she is also pursuing her B.Ed.

Ms. Bhavana Joshi

Bhavana Joshi, a post graduate from Nagpur University, is our PET and has a B.P.Ed. degree too from Nagpur

University. With 13 years of experience in various schools in the twin cities, Bhavana wants to leverage her skills

and achieve growth for SVIS students.

Ms. Madhuri Chivali

Madhuri Chivali is an M.Sc. in Genetics and has done her B.Ed. from Osmania University. She has taught Grades

V to X in various schools. Madhuri is not only good at her subject but is equally good at the English language. She

is full of enthusiasm and exudes a positive energy which is very infectious. She is passionate about teaching.

Mr. Govardhan

He is an M.Sc., B.Ed. and has joined SVIS as a Mathematics teacher. He has worked in ICFAI and at Christopher’s

High School and at St. Rosy’s High School. He strives hard and teaches Mathematics through fun and games.

Ms. G. Bhuvana

She is an M.Sc. in Bio Chemistry and a B.Ed. with a first class from Osmania University. She has previously

worked with St. Martins High School. What endeared her to the Interviewing panel was her positive attitude which

is very essential for being with children.

Ms. V. Saritha

She is a graduate from Sharadha College and has done her B.Ed. in Telugu from Islamia College. She joined

SVIS as she wants to be associated with a dynamic team in a progressive organization so that she can enrich the

students with her skills and knowledge of the language that she has acquired. She loves reading books as a

hobby.

Ms. Ginny Karol

She is a post graduate from Indraprastha University and is an MBA in International Marketing. She is the front

office face of SVIS. She is fully conversant with the operational knowledge of Windows’ 98, MS Office –

Applications.

Mr. Sunil Kumar

Sunil Kumar has joined us as an F and B Manager for our Kitchen department. He has done a Diploma in Hotel

Management and has worked in kitchens in other schools as well. He has worked as Senior Steward with

Alankritha (A Unit of Emmanuel Resorts Pvt. Ltd), a well established Star Resorts located in Hyderabad.

Ms. Renuka Joshi

She is our Playgroup teacher. Having completed her Montessori Training, she was successfully running her own

Playgroup- Sunrise, in Maharashtra. In Hyderabad, Renuka has put in a year’s service in a playgroup, called

Sanskriti. Renuka says that she gets her inspiration from children.

Ms. Nirmala Choudhary

She is a Graduate and she wandered into the teaching field because of her passion for children. She teaches the

pre-primary children and is very creative in art work.

Ms. Meghana Komireddi

A Commerce Graduate, Meghana is self motivated and is willing to take up new challenges. She also has a

diploma in Computer Management from DATAPRO. Having finished her P.P.T.C., she is handling the pre-primary

students.

Ms. Anisha

She is our Special Educator and has done her B.Ed in Special Education from NIMH. She deals with Special

Children and their parents in a very special manner. Her goal is to fulfill the educational needs of these children;

at the same time, she gives emotional confidence and succour to their parents. Her strength is being optimistic

and creative.

Mr. Paul

Our French faculty is a B.Sc., B.Ed. in Mathematics; but the flair for languages led him into Alliance Françoise. He

teaches French to Grades V to VII.

Ms. Mary Christina

She is a qualified nurse from the Princes Esim School of Nursing. With seven years of experience at GNM, she

has joined SVIS and helps gives the healing touch to children who go to the Infirmary at school.

Ms. Santha Sriram

She is a graduate from St. Theresa’s College and is working as a co-teacher at SVIS. She has had varied

experiences in a number of schools in and around Andhra Pradesh. She also doubles up as a Basket Ball Coach

at times.

Mr. Mahadev Venkatarao

He is our professionally qualified Chess Faculty. Besides, working in our school, he divides his time working part

time in many schools. He organizes inter school chess tournaments. He is devoted to making his students

mentally agile.

Mr. A. Raja

He is our Black Belt Taekwondo Champion. He is very enthusiastic to train our students to become adept at self

defence. When they saw him give a demo of breaking bricks with his bare hands, the students were awed and

sold at opting for Taekwondo. Children have learnt to throw many a kick after training under our coach.

Ms. Aliya Sultana

She is a 1st class graduate in Commerce from Osmania University and has completed her pre-primary teacher’s

training course. She went on to do her B.Ed and secured a 1st class from Osmania University. She has been

teaching Social Studies to Grades V to X in various schools. She has joined SVIS as she is passionate about

working in a reputed organisation like SVIS.

Ms. Ch. Satyaveni

She is an M.A, B.Ed and has joined Sadhu Vaswani International School as a Telugu teacher. She has three years

of experience in teaching. Her hobbies are reading books, listening to music and she dapples with embroidery.

Ms. P. Nanda

She has completed her B.Sc. from Andhra University and her B.Ed. from Nagarjuna University. She has an

experience of 5 years of teaching in primary classes. Her USP is her patience with children and she is soft

spoken too. Her hobby is reading books.

Ms. L. Pallavi

She is an M.Sc. in Mathematics and has done her B.Ed. from Nagarjuna University. She has worked in Sri

Chaitanya Mahila Kalasala for two years as a Maths Lecturer after her post graduation. She has six years of

teaching experience in reputed CBSE schools. She has also worked with the Jain Group of institutions. She is a

keen observer and a quick learner. She is trained in E- Pathasala. She is passionate about teaching Maths

through a lot of activities.

Ms. Rekha Shinde

She is a Hindi and a Sanskrit Pandit with 11 years of teaching experience in reputed schools like DPS and Jain

International School. She knows a variety of languages, namely; Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, Marathi and English.

Ms. Priya Varman

She is a post graduate from Osmania University. She is professionally qualified for the post of Personal Secretary.

Having worked in DPS and Foster School as Front office In-charge and Examination Coordinator, she has 5 years

of experience. Pleasant to talk to and of a calm demeanour, Priya has joined SVIS as personal assistant to the

Principal.

Mr. V. Vinod Kumar

V. Vinod Kumar is our Football Coach and is highly educated. He has done his M.A. from Osmania University and

his M.P.Ed, M.Phil and is currently persuing his Phd. He has worked as a P.E.T for 5 years in Delhi Public School

and also worked as a Football Coach for 8 years in Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Miss Sonia Verma (Librarian)

She has joined SVIS very recently and has a bachelor’s degree in Librarian Science. She wants to see the Library

grow and have at least 50,000 books to start with.

Ms. Anita Augustine

She is a Montessori trained teacher and has six years of experience in teaching the pre-primary classes. She has

taught in institutions like St. Anne’s High School and St. Mary’s Convent, Raichur. Her hobbies are Dancing,

Sports and Art and Craft.

Ms. Sumathi

She is a post graduate and a Telugu Pandit. She is good at managing children, teaching through stories,

conducting word games. She is dedicated and is hard working

Ms. Deepa Raj

She is a post graduate and has done her pre-primary teacher’s training course. She has worked with Euro Kids.

Her objective is to serve to the best of her abilities with utmost sincerity and contribute to the growth and

development of the institution.

Ms. P. Rachna

She is an M.B.A. and has also done her B.Ed. A highly energetic and enthusiastic individual, she has specialized

in English and Social Studies. She is dedicated to provide the best education and care to children under her.

Ms. Mary Kumar

She is presently pursuing her post graduate studies in English and has done her B.Ed. from St. Ann’s College of

Education. Her special method includes education for special children. She has attended a workshop for Special

Educational Needs Teachers, conducted by Ms. Valerie Phillips of U.K. She has been a teacher in the Maldives

with the Ministry of Education. She is intelligent, hard working and cooperative. Besides; she displays good

classroom management techniques.

Ms. Archana Yogesh

She is an M.Sc. B.Ed. and good at Mathematics. She is an award winner for good quality teaching and sincere

services. She is analytical, motivated, and imaginative and works well with people at all levels. She has good oral

and written communicative skills.

Ms. Maduri Venu Gopal

Maduri Venu Gopal is our Table Tennis Coach. He teaches young enthusiast to weild the Racket. He has worked

as a coach at GSM Table Tennis Academy since 2000 till date. The following are his achievements:

Produced a National Champion.

Produced an International Player.

Produced State Champions.

Represented INDIA in the 2nd FAJR International Table Tennis Junior and Cadet Tournament held at IRAN in the

year 2007

Ms. Pavani Dokka

Pavani Dokka has done her Masters in English Literature and B.Ed with over 4 years of experience in teaching in

reputed schools. Pavani has joined as an English Teacher. She enjoys teaching and has the unique ability to

attract and befriend children with her caring and understanding nature. She has excellent communication skills

and loves music. She has a flair for creativity and enjoys organizing and participating in cultural and annual

events. She believes in team work in achieving common objectives and has a very positive attitude. Dedication

and Commitment to her job are her forte.

Mr. Vaddi Satyanarayana

Vaddi Satyanarayana, an M.A. B.Ed (M.A. from ANU Campus, B.Ed from Andhra Jathiya Kalasala, MTM) has

achieved the 74th rank in Ed; CET, 98. He was a Co-ordinator for NSS at degree level, got 4 prizes in essay

writing, debating and elocution in state level competitions conducted by Satavahana Degree College, VJA in 1998.

has worked for three years for ‘Teaching Fish’; a soft skills training institute in VJA, GNT, Vizag and Hyderabad. He

has also worked for ‘Visaka Vidya Vanam’ near VJA for one year. Presently he is teaching English to the Middle

School at SVIS.

Mr. Om Prakash

Om Prakash has done his B.Com from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University. He ran his own business for 7 years and

worked in Narayana Junior College for 2 years as Kitchen Head. Presently he is a Store Manager in SVIS.

Ms. B. Veenadhari

B. Veenadhari is a B.Sc (Agriculture) from Acharya M.G. Ranga University. She has a Diploma in Networking

Communications and an M.B.A. (Human Resource Management) from IGNOU. She is presently working as

Admissions in charge at SVIS.

Ms. B. Suguna

B. Suguna, a Bachelor in History, an M.A. in Public Administration and with a Diploma in teaching Methodology

(DIM) on Montessori and Kindergarten Systems of Child Education, has joined SVIS as a Pre-Primary Teacher.

Ms. Shailaja Devanagundy

Shailaja Devanagundy has done her MS in Computer Science from California State University, Hayward, USA. She

also has knowledge about Accounting Software, WINDOWS’98 MS OFFICE Applications and a few programming

languages. She is ready to acquire Knowledge whenever required. She is sincere and hardworking. She loves

travelling. Her hobbies are reading books, embroidery, craft and playing Table Tennis along with Swimming.

This is her second innings at SVIS as a Computer faculty.

Ms. Andrea Eva D’Silva

Andrea Eva D’Silva has done her PPTC at Frobel’s Institution and has been working as a teacher for 12 years.

She has also done a stint at a call centre for 2 years and now is working in SVIS as a Pre-Primary teacher. She

says she is very happy to be working here.

Mr. G. C. Pattanayak

G.C. Pattnayak, our music maestro, is a Vidwan, B.A. Shastri, M.A. He has good knowledge of music and can

teach the Harmonium, Tabla, Flute, KeyBoard, Dholak, Trumpet, Tango, Banjo to all age students. Whenever there

is any function at school, he is a familiar sight with his keyboard and flute.

Ms. Sandhya

Sandhya is a B. Com, B.Ed from Osmania University. She has worked for 6 years in Genpact as a Management

Trainee and is currently working as a co-teacher for Pre-Primary.

Mr. Ramesh

Ramesh is an M.Sc (Osmania University). He has worked as a Maths and Science teacher for 6 years in schools

and colleges. He is at SVIS part time, teaching Maths and Science to some of our slow learners.

Ms. Shruthi

A Graduate from S.N.D.T. College, Mumbai, Shruti is a hard working and a dedicated teacher in the Pre-primary

section of SVIS. She has a keen interest in Art and Craft and loves spending time with children. She has also put

in a stint at Bolton School, Secunderabad. She believes in the adage that ‘There is no substitute for Hard Work”.

Ms. Patherina Nigel

She has been a teacher since the past 17 years. She has done her Diploma in Montessori training at St.

Augustine High School, Mumbai, Infant Jesus School,Raichur, Nalanda High School, Hyderabad, Johnson

Grammar School, Hyderabad.She has joined Sadhu Vaswani International School as a Pre-Primary teacher and

is very happy working in this institution.

Ms. R. Vasantha Lakshmi

She is a Commerce Graduate from Nagarjuna University, Vijayawada.She has an experience of 4 years in the .

administration field; besides having worked for a year as a Nursery teacher in Mili Play School. She is handling

Nursery as a co-teacher
